Daily Itinerary
Arrive in Crystal River and settle into your waterfront accommodations. In the late afternoon, join your guides for an orientation session and gear fitting before embarking on a stunning sunset paddle through the Crystal River estuary. Watch as the sky transforms over the Gulf of Mexico while gliding through calm, spring-fed waters teeming with fish, birds, and the occasional dolphin sighting. End the evening with a welcome dinner and trip briefing.
After breakfast, travel to Silver Springs State Park for a full day of paddling on the Silver River. Known as one of the clearest rivers in the world, Silver Springs offers visibility up to 80 feet deep. Paddle past ancient cypress trees draped in Spanish moss while spotting wild monkeys, great blue herons, otters, and turtles. Your naturalist guide will share the fascinating ecology and history of this iconic waterway. Enjoy a riverside lunch before paddling back through the afternoon light.
Today brings an unforgettable adventure at Weeki Wachee Springs, one of Florida’s deepest freshwater cave systems. Paddle the crystal-clear Weeki Wachee River where the water stays a constant 74°F year-round. Spot manatees, blue herons, and schools of mullet as you navigate gentle currents through a canopy of overhanging oaks and palms. In the afternoon, explore the springs area and enjoy free time to swim or snorkel in the refreshing spring water.
Rise early for the highlight of the trip – a guided snorkel tour in Kings Bay, one of the best places in the world to swim with wild manatees. With water temperatures kept constant by natural springs, manatees gather here year-round. Your certified guide will lead you through proper manatee interaction etiquette as you float alongside these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the snorkel tour, enjoy a farewell brunch and share photos and stories from the trip before departing.
